Vegetable Dyeing Tips: It is perfect for both dyeing and printing.
Animal fibers (wool, silk, alpaca) generally produce more vibrant colors than cellulosic fibers (cotton, linen, hemp, etc.).
The dye takes evenly; however, remember to wash it first with a soap such as Marseille soap and/or washing soda. Be careful, wool is particularly sensitive to temperature changes; immerse it in your lukewarm dye bath and let the bath cool.
Hand wash preferred.
Finally, rinse thoroughly and let dry before dyeing.
