Fabric: 100% Habotai Silk Satin
Finish: Fine cotton thread stitching
Vegetable dyeing tips: Animal fibers (wool, silk, alpaca) generally produce more vibrant colors than cellulosic fibers (cotton, linen, hemp, etc.). Wash this scarf in a warm water bath with a soap such as Marseille soap and washing soda crystals. For the mordanting step, use alum (25%) and cream of tartar (10%) dissolved in warm water. Let it soak overnight. Finally, rinse thoroughly and let it dry before dyeing.
